Custom steel frames / Sheffield / Since 2011

Brazed
to fit.

Frameworks hand-brazes road, gravel and commuter frames from 4130 steel, to the exact numbers of the person who will ride it. We service whatever you wheel in, too.

01 / Made to measure

Your height.
Our drawing.

Wheelbase

Calm at speed, quick in a lane.

Tell us your height and we draw the rest. It starts with your legs and the roads you ride. Longer stays and a longer wheelbase for the big days out, shorter for the commute through town.

Reach and stack

How far you stretch, how high you sit.

The two numbers that decide whether a bike feels like yours. Slide the height and watch both move, along with the top tube.

Head angle and trail

Steering that does what you meant.

Steeper for a sharp road bike, slacker for gravel. Trail follows from the fork offset, and we set both to the wheel size you will actually ride.

Saddle height

Measured from your inside leg.

We work it out in the fitting, draw the whole frame full size on the wall, and only then cut a single tube.

Gravel

Room for 42 mm and a bad road.

Commuter

Mudguards, rack, sit-up bars.

An upright riser bar, a rack that takes two panniers and full-length guards that clear a 38 mm tyre. Built to be locked up outside.
